Boho Berry UnBoxing!

I got my Boho Berry Box today and couldn’t wait to unbox it!  Unlike my other subscriptions I don’t typically see “sneak peeks” on social media so it’s seriously a complete surprise when I get it and I LOVE that!

There was a wide variety of items in this month’s box, but what peaked my curiosity most was the Faber-Castell Gelatos!

At first I thought they were some sort of chapsticks, but I’m certainly glad I didn’t try that theory before I looked them up! They’re some sort of special crayon called a “pigment stick” and you can use them dry or add water for a watercolor effect!

I’m going to need to figure these bad boys out, so I ordered a beginner’s mixed media kit off of Amazon to give it a try! Because it’s winter and I’m sick of cold and rain, I chose the tropical kit. So sue me 😉 (https://amzn.to/2BGyb9t)

Y’all know I love color, so I can’t wait to try these out for addition to my memory keeping/scrapbooking stuff! <3 Check back once I try them out for either some entertaining failures or scrapbooking wins!!

Not just ONE unboxing but TWO?

While I was waiting for my voice to clear up a bit to try this video thing out I ended up getting my Simply Gilded sub box in the mail today too, so I made that my (rather lame) debut into the video world before I hit the Boho Berry Box! LOL!

Forwarning – It is obviously going to take some trial and error before I figure out this whole tripod thing, and I don’t have the fancy manicured nails that all these “professional un-boxers” have so you’re going to have to bear with me and all my unpolished glory!

So that went poorly, but I didn’t let that stop me, I just went straight into my Boho Berry Box Unboxing, which I was totally excited about since this is my FIRST box from them and I literally subscribed on a whim without having any idea about what came inside apart from some planner goodies.  It’s called impulse shopping, it’s good for the soul.

I LOVE planning. I love everything about it. From the feeling organized (even if you’re not, it’s a great feeling to have!) to the decorating with washi, stickers, and whatnot, to the gorgeous options for leather Travelers notebooks, and so on and so forth.

I also love the planner subscription boxes. The little surprise “gift” to myself in my mailbox each month is my little guilty “mom” pleasure. I’ve really had to downsize my subscriptions because if you know me then you know my “Go BIG or go home” mentality in allthethings but I got my last monthly box from Lauren Phelps Designs and I wanted to share it because it really is gorgeous!

I’m going to apologize now for the crappy lighting, but the kids are finally asleep and this is the time I have to myself, so I deal with whatever lighting I have on hand. 😉

I really love her designs, and I fell in love with her artwork for her October kit (I’m a total freak for pumpkins!) and decided to order a few boxes!  This is the January kit for 2019 and it has all kinds of goodies from washi, to stickers, to gorgeous papers that I’ll use for scrapbooking and whatnot.

I’ll admit I haven’t figured out the sequins yet.  Eventually I’m going to make shaker dashboards out of them, and I even bought ALLTHETHINGS to make shaker dashboards, but alas, laziness consumes me sometimes… (or maybe it’s just motherhood…. either way, I’m tired.)

One of these posts I’ll share some “Plan With Me” videos, but I’m waiting for my little iPhone tripod to come in so I can be all official-like, and so you can’t really see my face (because no one really wants that), and so my nervously shaking hands won’t make you motion sick.  Because that could totally happen.

Also, isn’t it ironic that I couldn’t even fill up a day on a planner when I was working full time, yet now that I’m the stay-at-home mom of two that planner is jammed?  Funny how that works…. LOL!
