What the whatttt?? Air Fryer Madness!

Two posts, two days in a row? I’m killing it. LOL

I was thinking last night that I needed to start to “review” some of the awesome crap I’ve been collecting during my year’s worth of COVID shopping spree….. I mean, if I can’t leave the house then the excitement of packages showing up daily will have to do….. LOL! (I mean, in all fairness, I leave the house, but it’s still a viable excuse for lots of packages….)

This thing right here ^ is freaking awesome. Now, let me preface this with saying I already own two air fryers. I have a Cuisinart toaster oven style one and a GoWise, both of which I use a TON (sometimes at the same time) and that do an amazing job, but this little gem showed up for an Amazon Treasure Truck a week or so ago and it had 5 stars, and I’d been looking to replace my GoWise as the basket was getting quite worn so I decided to give it a shot!

I…. freaking….. LOVE IT! The basket is really easy to clean, it looks sleek and sexy sitting on my counter, and it really cooks VERY evenly, a noticeable difference from my other two. My first test was garlic parmesan zucchini fries, and they call came out very crisp and delicious with minimal effort, shaking, or checking!

It was on sale for Treasure Truck for about $40 less than it is now, but even at $119 it’s a great investment! I feel like with the coating the basket has it will last a very long time, even with regular use and cleaning. If you’re an air fryer beginner, or even pro, you can’t go wrong with this one – plus…. how many products on Amazon do you know that actually achieve FIVE STARS? This one has earned it! <3

Projects in the works

I’ve been wanting to try “shaker” projects for a while, and actually have had the tools to make them for quite some time and never taken them out of the package! Whoops!

So I sat down last night at my craft table after the kids went to bed and gave it a shot. It sucked. Seriously, I could NOT make that dang fuse tool work to save my life. I got more and more frustrated and finally just gave up and went a different route and laminated the thing so I could say I actually got something done.

But since I stay up late (vicious afternoon nap cycle for the win/lose) I spent some time last night on YouTube trying to figure this thing out. I didn’t find much that was helpful, lots of videos of people using their fuse tool with zero issues (doesn’t help me at all), and finally found this random video of a lady who gave some tips as she had the SAME issues I was having.

This morning I woke up and decided to give it a try…. It’s not perfect, but it was WAY less frustrating than last night’s projects!!

I used this We R Memory Keepers Fuse Tool I purchased a while back on Amazon, except instead of using the fuse tip, I used the CUTTING tip, which they don’t bother to tell you ALSO fuses. Woot! I have the silicone mat from We R Memory Keepers, but I really thing the tempered glass surface will do better and provide a cleaner fuse/cut, so that arrives tomorrow. Thank you so much, Amazon Prime. šŸ˜‰

Hope you enjoy today’s project! What is everyone else working on this weekend?

Strap that baby to a chair!!

No seriously guys, this one is for all you mamas of little ones out there!

Secure, and mostly happy.

I found this amazing invention on Amazon the other day and wanted to give it a try. I have my beloved “Tie Chair” but to be honest the bulk and complication of the whole thing makes it difficult to take with us to restaurants and whatnot. I get tired of trying to stuff it in a diaper bag or my purse, tired of trying to tie the knots secure enough, and let’s face it. I’m just tired. šŸ˜‰

This “Cozy Cover” looked interesting, and the price wasn’t bad, so I thought – I’m already buying crap on Amazon so WHY NOT? AMIRIGHT? It came the other day but I didn’t take it out of the box until yesterday to try it out.

ERMAGERD you guys, this thing is super easy to put on the chair, the shoulder straps are nice and secure (much to my son’s annoyance LOL), and it folds up (or stuffs into, if you’re like me) a little tiny pouch that fits in just about any purse or diaper bag. I LOVE IT! Plus it’s machine washable. BONUS.

I seriously hate restaurant high-chairs (if they even HAVE them half the time), because they look like they’ve been through some kind of high school food fight several years back and never cleaned, OR they’re rickety, OR the buckle on the safety strap is broken, OR they’re missing the crotch strap and your son manages to clothesline himself on the waist bar…. (don’t ask me how I know THAT), OR any ungodly combination of the above. This solves all of that – for realz…..

Unless your restaurant has stools with no backs instead of chairs…. if that’s the case, you’re just screwed. Good luck. šŸ˜‰

Another Planner Nerd Post!

Scribbles That Matter – My Planner Peace

Here we go with yet another planner post! Sorry you guys that aren’t into it – but ironically enough ever since I became a Stay at Home Mom my schedule has been a lot tougher to organize than it was when I was working! I know that seems odd, but it’s true. AmIRight Mom friends?

I’ve been kind of all over the place on the planners that I use…. I have gone through several different brands but none really had the flexibility on space that I wanted. I tried the bullet journal only and I still really like my BuJos but not necessarily for scheduling/planning because I’m not artistic enough and I enjoy a “clean” looking planner.

Enter the 2019 Scribbles That Matter A5 Bullet Planner. I was skeptical when I saw it but wanted to give it a shot. I’ve been using it for several weeks now and I REALLY LOVE IT. I think I’ve found “Planner Peace”! It has pre-done weekly spreads with a dot grid background that please my “neatness/pretty” side, and a bunch of plain bullet journal dot grid pages at the end of each month and the end of the book that please my need to have more space. I can add stickers or Washi, but still write like a bullet journal. It’s awesome!

It also looks super fabulous in my Chic Sparrow A5 Creme Chocolate folio, and I have a feeling I’ll eventually start using this as my every day carry. Totally loving it!

For my planner followers… Have you found your “Planner Peace”? Be sure to share in the comments or on social media using #MindYourBiscuitsTX! <3

Soon, I’ll add a “real post”…

Tomorrow I’ll add a “real post”, I promise, but my kids have been killing my mental health this week (I love my kids, but holy cow a sassy 4 year old and a sick 20 month old can be super ridiculously draining sometimes!)

In the meantime, I wanted to share this SUPER AWESOME bullet journal that I found on Amazon – came to my door yesterday for a whopping $9.53 + free prime shipping!! It’s AMAZING quality for the price, and I love the gold foiled accents on the cover. It’s going to look fantastic in my collection. ha ha ha!

If you’re looking to try out a Bullet Journal for the first time, or maybe even just looking for a pretty one to add to your lineup, I’d totally recommend it. A5 Sized, the cover is sturdy and has gold foiling mixed in with some lovely vibrant colors, and the pages have a nice visible dot pattern and are a really nice thickness. Doesn’t look to bleed or ghost too badly according to the reviews! Just thought I’d pass on for anyone interested!!! Click here to go straight there!

Boho Berry UnBoxing!

I got my Boho Berry Box today and couldn’t wait to unbox it! Ā Unlike my other subscriptions I don’t typically see “sneak peeks” on social media so it’s seriously a complete surprise when I get it and I LOVE that!

There was a wide variety of items in this month’s box, but what peaked my curiosity most was the Faber-Castell Gelatos!

At first I thought they were some sort of chapsticks, but I’m certainly glad I didn’t try that theory before I looked them up! They’re some sort of special crayon called a “pigment stick” and you can use them dry or add water for a watercolor effect!

I’m going to need to figure these bad boys out, so I ordered a beginner’s mixed media kit off of Amazon to give it a try! Because it’s winter and I’m sick of cold and rain, I chose the tropical kit. So sue me šŸ˜‰ (https://amzn.to/2BGyb9t)

Y’all know I love color, so I can’t wait to try these out for addition to my memory keeping/scrapbooking stuff! <3 Check back once I try them out for either some entertaining failures or scrapbooking wins!!
